Between a Time and a Place, 2013

This body of work investigates the relationship between drawing and making in ceramics, at a point of oscillation between the two and three dimensional. The objects that arise from exploring this territory of the in-between can be seen as multiple translations that allow lines to be reinvented and visual conversations to emerge.

The images used are based on personal memories of everyday objects and the emotions attached to them. Creating space for discovery and meandering, they evoke something belonging to the subtle and the felt and map a territory that is both mysterious and familiar.
